Man charged for allegedly beating neighbor’s dogs with brick

The man who allegedly attacked his neighbors’ two dogs with bricks in late August has officially had animal cruelty charges filed against him, the PSPCA announced today.

Willie Enoch, 56, who has a long criminal record, had two counts of first-degree misdemeanor animal cruelty filed against him by the Pennslyvania SPCA on Nov. 4.

The owner of the dogs, Snowball and Brian, found them bleeding outside her home on the 3700 block of North 19th Street on August 27 and contacted police.

The dogs were both treated in the PSPCA Shelter Hospital and PSPCA Humane Law Enforcement began an investigation.

The dogs’ injuries were consistent with blunt force trauma.

The PSPCA issued a warrant for Enoch’s arrest.

Enoch was arrested by Philadelphia police for an unrelated incident on Oct. 10, court records show, for which he faces aggravated assault charges.

A court date is pending for the animal cruelty charges against Enoch.

The owner surrendered Snowball and Brian to the PSPCA. They both have since healed and were placed in permanent homes.
