A man died in Lancaster County on Monday morning after crashing his car into two mules that had escaped a pasture and wandered into the road, 6ABC has reported.
The victim, Melvin Ault, 19, of East Petersburg, was on his way to go deer hunting. He is believed to have died on impact.
Three cars were involved in the crash. One mule was killed, while another had to be euthanized later.
Ault was driving on Route 272 south of Lancaster when he struck the mules, causing his car to cross into the lane of oncoming traffic and hit two other vehicles.
