A man was gunned down Monday evening at a busy intersection near City Hall, police said.
Khaleaf Sistrunk, 21, of Overbrook, died after being shot multiple times in the head and torso at around 6:30 p.m. near 15th and Market streets, authorities said.
He was reportedly sitting on his dirtbike when someone jumped out of a car and fired at least 11 shots.
There was no word on a motive in the shooting, and no arrests have been made, police said.
Sistrunk is the 435th person killed in Philadelphia this year, a total that is up about 40% compared to this time in 2019.
Four other people were hospitalized following shootings Monday night and Tuesday morning.
In North Philadelphia, a 32-year-old woman was shot in the left shoulder at 8 a.m. Tuesday on the 2900 block of Judson Street.
She was transported to Temple University Hospital and listed in stable condition, according to police. Investigators said she knew the shooter, but no one has been apprehended.
Just before 2 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for a report of a man with gunshot wounds.
Police said the 23-year-old had been shot in the stomach at 41st and Parrish streets in West Philadelphia. He is being treated for nonlife-threatening injuries.
An 18-year-old man was shot eight times in the torso at 9:30 p.m. Monday on the 2000 block of E. Letterly Street in Kensington, authorities said. Officers rushed him to Temple Hospital in critical condition.
In Northeast Philadelphia, a 20-year-old man drove himself to the 5900 block of Frontenac Street in Oxford Circle after being shot not far away, on the 5400 block of Sylvester Street, police said.
The incident occurred at around 7 p.m. Monday. He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds to his right arm, and he is in stable condition.
Police investigating sexual assault
Detectives are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Nov. 10, in Kensington.
She left her home at around 1 a.m. and encountered the man, who she did not know, at a Sunoco gas station on the 3100 block of Frankford Avenue, police said. He offered to give her a ride to her aunt’s house, according to investigators.
In surveillance video released Tuesday, the suspect is pictured walking with the girl toward his car. After she sat in the vehicle, he assaulted her, police said.

Driver sought in Northeast hit-and-run
Police are searching for a driver who didn’t stop after his SUV struck a cyclist last month in the Far Northeast.
A 63-year-old man was riding his bike at around 10:40 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, on the 12400 block of McNulty Road when he was hit by a black Chevrolet Suburban, investigators said.
The victim is still hospitalized in critical condition at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, authorities said.
Police said small parts from the front of the SUV were recovered at the scene, and there is probably damage to the grille and hood.
