Man killed in hit-and-run, police searching for driver

Police are looking for the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Philadelphia’s Kensington section Wednesday night, reports said.

A 35-year-old man on a scooter was hit and dragged 200 feet by a car that did not stop late Wednesday night around 9:30 p.m. near Aramingo and Lehigh Avenues, police told 6ABC.
According to Philly.com, the unidentified man was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital and pronounced dead at 10:13 p.m.
Officers believe they found the car, a Pontiac Aztec with New York tags, abandoned a mile away at East Madison and Cedar Streets in Port Richmond around 12 a.m., Philly.com reported.
Officers know who the car is registered to, but not who was driving the car, 6ABC reported.
Investigators are currently looking for the driver.
