A man was shot three times and killed Monday night in Kensington, authorities said.
Officers responded just after 11:15 p.m. to the 1800 block of East Somerset St., where they found a 26-year-old man with three gunshot wounds to the back and two to the chest, according to police. Authorities rushed the man to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:35 p.m.
The victim has been identified as Dyheem Sharif, of North Philadelphia.
According to police, authorities recovered three 9mm shell casings at the scene, but no weapon has been found, and no arrest has been made at this time.
