Police identify man killed outside North Philadelphia mosque

Police have identified a man killed outside a North Philadelphia mosque on Tuesday.

Just before 5 p.m., Raheem Jefferson, 43, was shot multiple times outside of the Al-Aqsa Islamic Society in the Olde Kensington neighborhood of North Philadelphia, according to authorities.

Police transported the victim to Temple Hospital, where he died a short time later.

No weapons have been recovered at this time, and no one was arrested in the immediate aftermath of the shooting, according to police.

Tipsters may remain anonymous. As with all homicides in Philadelphia, there is a $20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
