A 22-year-old man died after he was shot multiple times Tuesday night in North Philadelphia, police said.
Officers responded at around 9:45 p.m. to the 3100 block of N. Stillman Street for a report of a person with a gun, investigators said. They found Nadir Smith, who lived nearby, suffering from wounds to his head, chest and back, according to authorities.
Smith was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 10:45 p.m., police said. No one was arrested in the immediate aftermath of his killing.
A total of 210 people have been killed this year in Philadelphia, a decrease of 17% compared to the same point in 2022, according to police department data.
