A 28-year-old man is dead after he was shot during an argument early Sunday morning outside a Juniata bar, investigators said.
Officers were called just before 2 a.m. to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where the victim had been taken in the aftermath of the shooting, which happened just down the street, on the 1100 block of E. Erie Avenue, authorities said.
Police added that the man, whose name has not been released, was shot several times in his torso and legs. He died of his injuries at around 2:40 a.m., according to the PPD.
Multiple media reports indicate the killing happened outside JJ’s Cafe, a bar at the corner of Erie and J street.
No one was arrested in the immediate aftermath of the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call or text the PPD’s tipline at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
