A man accused of a hit-and-run which dismembered a woman and injured her sister pleaded guilty to the charges on Monday, ABC Philly reported.

33-year-old Jose Santiago was allegedly driving under the influence when he crashed into 62-year-old Anna Lewis so hard that she died of “traumatic amputation.”
Lewis’ sister, 51-year-old Rosalie Carlo, escaped with a fractured arm.

Santiago fled the scene but was arrested when his car, which suffered extensive damage, was reportedly found an hour and a half later.
Santiago claims he does not remember the incident, but he reportedly wept as he apologized.
Santiago will be sentenced in April.
