A 60-year-old man shot a would-be robber who was carrying a fake gun, police said Sunday.
Police were called to the 3200 block of S. 15th Street at 8:29 a.m., a block from the Allegheny Avenue Broad Street station, and found the suspect, 22, on the ground “with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.”
The 60-year-old man who called officers said the would-be robber pointed the gun replica at him and demanded money, and that the older man then shot him.
The suspect was arrested and transported to Temple University Hospital for treatment. He has not yet been identified.
