A man was left in critical condition when he was shot twice during an apparent carjacking attempt in Northeast Philadelphia on Wednesday.
The shooting happened about 4:25 p.m. on the 7200 block of Horrocks Street, according to reports. The victim, 44, was parking his car in front of his home when he was approached by two suspects, one of whom was wearing a mask.
The suspects demanded the victim’s keys before shooting him twice. They fled without the keys or the car.
The victim was taken to Aria Health-Torresdale for treatment.
Philadelphia police were to review private surveillance footage in the area to see if the suspects were caught on tape before, during or after the shooting.
