Man wanted in connection with SEPTA robberies

Update (Feb. 7): A SEPTA spokesperson said late Sunday that the man wanted for questioning has been apprehended and is being processed by police.

Transit police released images Sunday of a man allegedly involved in a series of gunpoint robberies this weekend at underground SEPTA stations.

No one was injured during the robberies, all of which occurred Saturday near Market-Frankford Line stops, according to authorities.

Officers arrested two other men believed to be connected to the incidents. The surveillance photos depict a third man wanted for questioning, transit police said.

A gunman demanded money from a person at around 2 p.m. in the concourse connecting the Broad Street Line’s City Hall station to the MFL’s 15th Street stop, according to authorities.

Later, just after 9 p.m., a similar exchange occurred at the 30th Street MFL station. Then, at the same station, two people were forced to withdraw cash at gunpoint from an ATM, transit police police said.

Anyone with information about the man wanted for questioning is asked to call SEPTA transit police at 215-580-8111.
