Manhunt is on for suspect wanted in connection with Mayfair slaying

Police have identified a suspect in last Wednesday’s fatal shooting of a man in the Mayfair section of Northeast Philadelphia.

Khalil Walker-Shabazz, 21, of the 3200 block of Cottman Avenue, is wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of Jerry Edwards, 25. Edwards was shot multiple times on the 7500 block of Brous Avenue on Oct. 3. His body was discovered in the drivers seat of a green 1997 Dodge Stratus around 5:30 a.m.
