Maroon 5, Seinfeld and more shows to see at the beach in August

Labor Day will be here much too soon. Take advantage of the last weeks of summer fun with these Atlantic City shows on the beach and in the casinos.

Jerry Seinfeld
Aug. 7 and 8

Seinfeld has been making us laugh since his first “Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” appearance way back in 1981. See the funnyman at the Event Center at the Borgata, a relatively small venue for such a giant comic — which means you’ll get a more intimate show. Snag your Friday night tickets (starting at $95) rightnow; Saturday is already sold out.

Maroon 5 and Nick Jonas
Aug. 16

We’re guessing it might be a mostly female crowd when Maroon 5, fronted by Adam Levine, headlines an outdoor concert right on the beach on Aug. 16 — especially when you consider that the special guests are Nick Jonas, formerly of the Jonas Brothers, and Matt McAndrew, who went to UArts and was a finalist on “The Voice,” coached by Levine. Tickets start at $39.50.

Willie Nelson and Old Crow Medicine Show
Aug. 16

Borgata Festival Park has been making a splash all summer with a musical lineup of big name concerts, international DJs and dedicated tribute bands rocking out in the new 4,500-capacity outdoor venue. This month, we’re looking forward to country legend Willie Nelson performing with Americana string band Old Crow Medicine Show (you know their song “Wagon Wheel”) on Aug.16. Tickets start at $49.50.

Rascal Flatts
Aug. 20

More than 60,000 fans came out to see Blake Shelton perform on the beach last summer, so expect a crowd when country trio Rascal Flatts puts on a show on the sand on Aug. 20 as part of the band’s Riot Tour — though perhaps slightly less of a crowd, since this year’s beach concerts aren’t free. Singer-songwriter Ashley Monroe will open. Tickets start at $31.25.
