Reese got his first break with the Eagles back in 1977 and ever since then has become synonymous with the team. His passionate style of broadcasting isn’t just infectious, but it has captivated generations of fans on a weekly basis.

Jim Porter, president of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, said: “Merrill Reese, represents exactly what we look for when we talk about who’s made a big impact in broadcasting. “For nearly a half century, fans tuning into Eagles games, including opposing fans, have had the privilege of hearing Merrill’s legendary voice.”

This is an amazing moment for Eagles fans, many of whom have listened to Merrill Reese week in and week out during their lifetime as fans of Philadelphia. His unwavering dedication to the team and countless calls that will go down in History make Reese one of the most decorated broadcasters in NFL history.
