One day after new coach Chip Kelly insisted the starting quarterback job is a three-horse race, one of them claimed to have the inside track.

Mike Vick, speaking from the heart as he usually does, told reporters that he still views the Eagles as his team.

“Honestly, I just look at it as it’s still my team, still my job,” Vick said Thursday. “I’m trying to rejuvenate myself and really take advantage of the last couple of years I have.”

On Tuesday, Kelly said all three quarterbacks — Vick, Nick Foles, Dennis Dixon —

were even. Vick restructured his deal in the offseason and took less money to stay in Philadelphia.

“We’re going to use the full time available to make a full evaluation. I think it fosters competition,” Kelly said.

Vick noted that Kelly’s offense is very up-temp and fast-paced, as previously advertised.

“It’s something like I’ve never seen before,” he said.
