The holiday season officially began in South Philly over the weekend with the block-lighting party for the Miracle on South 13th Street. Neighbors along the 1600 block of S. 13th Street band together every year to decorate their homes with holiday lights and over-the-top decorations. The lights went on Saturday night and will be on display each evening through Christmas Day. Visitors are encouraged to drive or walk down the street to enjoy this Philly holiday tradition.
