An Upper Dublin High School teacher was arrested on allegations that she had sex with one of her students over a period of three months.
Rose Limuli, 39, a resident of Lansdale, now faces 12 counts of institutional sexual assault after police said she and a student had an “inappropriate sexual relationship” that started last December, 6ABC reported. RELATED:Swim coach admits pressuring student for sex “Recognizing the emotional impact that this news could have on both students and members of our high school faculty/staff, guidance counselors will be available for consultation,” a statement from Upper Dublin School District superintendent Dr. Deborah Wheeler was quoted by NBC10. Limuli and the victim, who was 18, allegedly had sexual encounters at an Upper Dublin dog park and at the victim’s home, according to 6ABC. Limuli was also accused of making sexual contact with the victim during class and giving the victim gifts including a dirt bike, clothes and $1,000 in cash. “Limuli went through the required background checks for criminal record and child abuse history clearances. … Those background checks gave no indication of any previous criminal behavior,” Wheeler’s statement was quoted by NBC10.
