More than 85 percent of Philadelphia adults have received first-dose of vaccine

According to new numbers released by the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, 85.2 percent of Philadelphia adults have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. The total number of fully vaccinated Philadelphians is now at least 937,259, and the number of Philadelphians with at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine is at least 1,142,486, as of Tuesday.

Health officials also reported that 205 patients with COVID-19 are currently being treated in Philadelphia hospitals, with a total of 31 on ventilators.

Since the start of the pandemic, 162,935 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Philadelphia, and 3,884 have succumbed to the virus. Philadelphia is averaging 242 new cases of COVID-19 per day over the last two weeks.
