Morgan’s Pier might be a staple in the summer, but its Fall Fest also offers a lot for locals. And it all kicks off this week.
Beginning this Thursday (Sept. 25) and running through Halloween, the waterfront destination will feature different events, live entertainment, pumpkin carving, plus new food and drink treats to try for the season. The five-week activation also features autumn décor (in the form of haystacks, seasonal flowers, foliage and more), plus warm beverage specials with the weather starting to cool down.

The Pier’s Pumpkin Patch is a yearly focal point that always brings in a crowd, and guests can take their pick and receive a carving kit for $5-$10 (offered daily until dark.) Fall Fest will also roll out the debut of the waterfront venue’s new seasonal menu picks, plus, live music, DJs, Yappy Hour, trivia, karaoke, and a prime location to watch the Eagles.
New bites span crispy Brussel sprouts, mac & cheese, smoked pork belly tacos, kale salad, pear & kale pizza, a chicken parm sammy, Pier Peach Pie and fresh churros. Sips-wise, one of the stand-outs being added to this year’s menu includes the Bacardi Spiced Frozen Apple Cider Slushie, topped with a homemade cider donut, whipped cream and a caramel drizzle. Other cold cocktails include a Fall Sangria, the American Ghoul (their take on a pomegranate mule), the Cran-Peary Sauce, the Blackberry Punch and the Tincup Spritz (made with bourbon, Aperol, lemon, prosecco and club soda.)

For those who need to warm up, sips span the PSL (vodka, Rumchata, pumpkin, coffee and whipped cream), the Drunkin Mocha (Kahlua, Irish cream, coffee, hot chocolate, cinnamon and honey, with whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle), a Spiked Hot Cocoa and an Apple Spiced Toddy.
Drinks can also be tried during the venue’s weekly charity Yappy Hours (happening every Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.) where a portion of proceeds from the menu will go directly to the Pennsylvania SPCA. And as a release notes, together the PSPCA, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Morgan’s Pier will throw a “spooktacular” last Yappy Hour on Sunday, Oct. 26. From noon to 8 p.m., the day will be complete with a puppy Halloween parade, a fido costume contest, and a presentation of a check with this year’s donation.
The grand finale of it all will be Morgan’s Halloween Bash, set for Friday, Oct. 31. Hosted by Brittany Lynn (aka the Don of the Philly Drag Mafia), admission to the event (tickets start at $80) gets you an all-you-can-drink period from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., musical entertainment by DJ Menace Cartel, free hot dogs, and the ability to enter the cash prize costume contest, with winners for both individual and group ensembles.
