Fall Fest at Morgan’s Pier offers five weeks of fun in 2024

Morgan’s Pier might be a staple in the summer, but its Fall Fest also offers a lot for locals. And it all kicks off this week.

From now through Oct. 26, the waterfront destination will feature different events, live entertainment, pumpkin carving, plus new food and drink treats to try for the season. The five-week activation also features autumn décor (in the form of haystacks, seasonal flowers, foliage and more), plus warm beverage specials with the weather starting to cool down.

The Pier’s Pumpkin Patch is a yearly focal point that always brings in a crowd, and guests can take their pick and receive a carving kit for $5-$10. Fall Fest will also feature live acoustic music, DJ entertainment (every weekend on Thursday nights), happy hour on Fridays and Saturdays, and live acoustic music on Sundays.

Food and drink wise, the updated fall menu will feature smoked brisket chili, butternut squash and goat cheese pizza, sausage penne pasta, skirt steak tacos, crispy brussel sprouts, plus sips like an American Mule, a Fall Sangria, the Candied Apple and the Pear Spritz. For those looking for some heat, locals can also sip on a Spiked Pumpkin Latte, a S’more flavored spiked hot chocolate, an Apple Spiced Toddy, and the “Muddy Buddy”, which features Skrewball Peanut Butter whiskey, Irish cream, coffee and hot chocolate.

The fun isn’t reserved for only weekends either. Philadelphians can bring their furry friends every Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. for a charity Yappy Hour in partnership with Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Every week, Tito’s will donate a portion of proceeds from the Yappy Hour menu to the Pennsylvania SPCA.

Together the PSPCA, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Morgan’s Pier will throw a “spooktacular” last Yappy Hour on Sunday Oct. 20. This last event of the season will feature a puppy Halloween parade and costume contest, and presentation of a check with this year’s donation.

Fall Fest will conclude  with a Halloween Bash on Saturday, Oct. 26, hosted by Brittany Lynn. Tickets start at $80, and will go on sale in October. Entry includes admission to the event, all-you-can-drink (from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.), musical entertainment by DJ Menace Cartel, free hot dogs, and the ability to enter the cash prize costume contest, with winners for both individual and group ensembles.
