If you ever wanted to know how to tell a joke at a funeral, a new web show set in Delaware County might be for you.
“Delco Proper,” which debuted on Comedy Central’s website today, depicts threebest friends from a rough, blue-collar neighborhood in Pennsylvania struggle to avoid trouble and make a name for themselves in a city where the odds are stacked against them.
The first episode, mixes the intentionalawkwardness of “Silver Linings Playbook” with the bawdy humor of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” It’s set at a funeral for a high school classmate, where actorsTim Butterly, John McKeever and Tommy Pope go to settle scores.
The show gets that Delco accent down pat — along with that mildly aggressive, blissfully self-unawareattitude we’ve come to know and love.
It’s brought to you from the folks at Deer Prom. You can check out the not-safe-for-work trailer below.
