National Brunch Day is this Sunday, Sept. 21, and to celebrate, Metro has rounded up some of the most unique spots to enjoy some early-morning treats this weekend and beyond.
Aqimero
Brunch is always better when it’s endless, and luckily, Aqimero has the weekly Endless Bubbles & Brunch experience to scratch that itch. The meal starts with a Raw Bar loaded with ceviche, East Coast oysters, shrimp, and crab claws, and then moves on to other dishes like a lobster roll with truffle fries, huevos rancheros, chipotle hummus, fresh fruit/granola bowls and the smoked salmon benedict with ají amarillo hollandaise. The bubbles part of the meal comes in the form of endless sparkling wines, mimosas, Bellinis, Kir Royals, and more. Reservations ($85) are highly recommended and can be made on OpenTable and through Aqimero’s site.
Brunch is offered Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 3 p.m., but on National Brunch Day (Sept. 21), locals can also join in on the Boozy Tea Experience ($95.) The meal includes a choice of one teapot-sized cocktail per guest, paired with a four-course tasting menu designed for sharing. Food-wise, Philadelphians will find tuna ceviche, garden guacamole, cheesesteak empanadas and a honey cheesecake made with honeycomb, blood orange, berry salsa, and alma finca orange liqueur flambé for dessert. Cocktails will span a Honey Lavender Margarita, Matcha Mojito and a Hibiscus Paloma Punch.
