Who should you bet on to win the NFL Super Bowl 59?
NFL Super Bowl Favorites
Surprisingly, the San Francisco 49ers have been listed as the early favorites to win Super Bowl 59. You could definitely make the case that they have the stronger roster and of course did suffer some bad injury luck during Super Bowl 58, but to not list the Chiefs as favorites feels so strange.
The Kansas City Chiefs are a dynasty. There’s no way around it. They have now won back-to-back Super Bowls and have appeared in 6 straight AFC Championship games, winning 4 of them. How they can be listed as anything other than the favorites is confusing, but if you want to grab some early value, it’s not the worst bet in the world to take while the odds are a little higher…
Best of the rest
The Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills are next up. Baltimore is a team that really should’ve been playing this past Sunday and failing to make it to the Super Bowl was bitterly disappointing. If they can take another step forward this offseason, getting some early value on Lamar Jackson and a dominant defense could be a profitable idea.
The Detroit Lions are the next NFC-listed team. Their trajectory is clear, provided that they can follow up this campaign with another stellar effort. The Lions became the darlings of the NFL in 2023 and their miracle run was captivating. But can they prove it wasn’t a fluke?
The Philadelphia Eagles are HUGE underdogs
The Philadelphia Eagles started out 2023 in dominant fashion before the train flew off the tracks when it counted. The Birds went on a horrid losing run of form that carried into the playoffs and saw them humbled by the Bucs. As a result, they sit at a lowly +2000 despite having at one point been the most dominant team in the NFL.
On top of that, the Eagles have already made some big changes to their coaching staff. Vic Fangio and Kellen Moore will replace Sean Desai and Brian Johnson, which should provide some reasons for optimism.
On paper, Philly still has a roster that should be able to go toe-to-toe with the best in the league. Sprinkle in a revamped coaching staff and the prospect of another eccentric Howie Roseman-led offseason, and there’s no reason the Eagles can’t reclaim the NFC East title and beyond.
