Need a favor? There’s an app for that.

App-based delivery service Favor picks up and delivers pretty much anything. Need laundry detergent, a roast chicken and a 12-pack of greeting cards? Favor can likely handle — well, for a fee.

The Austin-based service has launched in a handful of metro areas, including Boston, Denver, Miami, and Chicago, and today (April 5), Favorhas arrived in Philadelphia.

CEO and President Jag Bath says in a release from the company, “Given the city’s culinary history, Favor’s next expansive step to Philadelphia was only logical. At a time when most startups are choosing to automate, Favor is continuing to focus on the people who are vital to the process, and we’re pleased to bring this ethos to Philadelphia.”

The ordering process is simple enough: Download the app from iTunes or Google Play, look for your needed item and tap “Order Anything” (literally) to confirm your purchase. A Runner — their terms for a personal delivery assistant — will rush out to complete it and drop the purchase at your door. There’s a flat delivery fee of $5 with runners available 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

For first-time Philly customers, you can get one free delivery with the promo code ‘LOVEPHILLY.’
