If you needed an excuse to take a trip to Bucks County or South Jersey, there’s now a really delicious reason to do so.

New Hope and Lambertville Restaurant Week is set to debut with over two dozen restaurants this month. From Jan. 13 to the 27, visitors can score prix fixe three-course lunch and dinner menus for $35 and $55 each from both sides of the Delaware River. Dishes will range from local favorites to exclusive Restaurant Week picks.

“The first-ever New Hope and Lambertville Restaurant Week is the best of both worlds. It is a win-win for foodies and culinary enthusiasts from both Pennsylvania and New Jersey,” said New Hope Chamber President Michael Sklar in a statement. Sklar also co-owns the participating venues Oldestone Steakhouse and GreenHouse.

“We are thrilled to bring together some of the most celebrated and most beautiful restaurants on both sides of the river for this grand 15 day event that will feature some of our culinary community’s best chefs, dishes, wines and cocktails. There’s something for every taste and type of cuisine – to every setting and vibe. Come as you are for a casual weeknight out with friends and neighbors, or get dressed up and make it a special date night on the town.”

Settings range from indoor to outdoor, fine dining to casual, steakhouses to BYO, and everything in between.

In New Hope specifically, Oldestone will serve up prime steak, chop, seafood, raw bar, salad and other options for the occasion. The restaurant (which was previously Martha Brown’s) is housed in a stone church built in 1872. The 9,000 square foot space now boasts a main bar, lounge and private dining room on the first floor, a grand dining room on the second level, and a third level in the former balcony overlooking the dining room that is now a speakeasy with a bar and lounge itself (including a stage for live music).

Nektar Wine Bar, on the other hand, will serve up a selection of small plates, sandwiches, salads, charcuterie meats, artisanal cheeses and desserts, while V Spot will provide dishes that are gluten, animal and oil free.

Other New Hope participating spots include Anzu Social, GreenHouse New Hope, Havana, Italian Cucina, Karla’s, Logan Inn, Martine’s Riverhouse, River House at Odette’s, The Salt House and Triumph Brewing Company (with more to be announced.)

In Lambertville, locals looking to head to Jersey can find different cuisines and experiences as well.

The Black Bass Hotel for one offers a slice of history in the town. Built in 1745, the venue is one of the oldest of its kind in the country, and it also happens to sit right on the Delaware River (with a lot of views.) The Mexican-latin fusion locale, El Tule, is another prime pick. This spot serves up traditional Mexican offerings as well as Peruvian menu items.

De Floret in Lambertville offers dishes blending French, American, and Mediterranean influences, while at The Starving Artists Cafe, Philadelphians can find Americana and rustic Italian cuisine (and live music.)

Other participating South Jersey spots include Chive Cafe, Lambertville Station Restaurant and Inn, Local Greek, Pru Thai, Revolution Woodfire Dining, Under The Moon and the Woolverton Inn (keep checking the site for late additions.)

As a release notes, each restaurant can select if they will do lunch, dinner or both, and their price points. Some restaurants will additionally offer upgrades to their meals for those seeking a high end experience.

The dual Restaurant Week is presented by Union Chill Cannabis Company (located at 204 N Union Street in Lambertville.) Participants can visit the venue during this timeframe to explore exclusive Restaurant Week-inspired specials as well (which they say is designed to pair with your dining experience.) Diners can bring in a receipt from any participating restaurant and get 20% off storewide products.
