New Hope is closing out their fan-favorite summer series with a big green bang in honor of the Philadelphia Eagles. The final First Friday event will don a Philly sports-inspired fireworks and drone show above the Delaware River, plus, a block party and city-wide themed specials.
“I already have my Birds jersey picked out and encourage everyone to wear green,” said Michael Sklar, President of New Hope Chamber of Commerce and Visit New Hope. “We will have family fun, music, drink specials and the show itself. The energy and excitement for our fireworks and drone show built all year and we can’t wait to combine that with our Philly sports fan spirit.”
The evening will kick off with a block party on Stockton Avenue (5 to 9 p.m.) with local creatives and family-friendly activities. Vendors span Kitty Couture, Wandering Wildflowers, Remi Threadz, Malina Crafts, Bead on!, Energy Revealed, Lumberville Candle and more, plus, New Hope will host a sports fan pop-up of the region’s top sellers.

As a release notes, the first 500 people to come out will also be gifted a complimentary green “glowing surprise” to wave during the show — 250 of these will be given away at the Visitor’s Center. Food, drinks and shopping will be peppered throughout the occasion: Ferry Market will be open late, the Playhouse Patio Bar will be serving drinks just steps from the river, and plenty of restaurants will have game-day–inspired food and drink specials, including GreenHouse, OldeStone, Market Pizza, Nozomi, Nosh Empanadas, Nektar Wine Bar, Fran’s Pub and more.
The grand and sparkly finale and drone show will finish everything off beginning at 9:15 p.m. Spectators can also bring a Bluetooth speaker and download the Pyrocast app (code: F683) to sync with the official fireworks and drone show soundtrack— a new feature in 2025.
“We started this pilot program in 2023 and it grew dramatically in 2024. We are proud to keep adding and expanding it each and every year,” finishes Sklar. “The show and block party gives a boost to local businesses. It adds to the over-all summer experience and drives visitors to our restaurants, shops and hotels. Additionally, it lets us offer opportunities for talented artists and vendors to showcase and sell their work — and hopefully encourage them long-term to look to open a brick and mortar in New Hope.”
