New Metro Philadelphia series will spotlight mayoral candidates

Philadelphia residents have a vital decision to make this Spring, and their choice will shape the city for years to come.

As the Philadelphia Mayor’s Race takes shape — candidates have submitted their final signatures and the official ballot is now set — Metro Philadelphia is doing our part to ensure all voters can make an informed and educated decision come Election Day.

That is why, over the next six weeks, Metro will spotlight every candidate in the Democratic primary election, which will take place on Tuesday, May 16. Please follow our Mayor’s Race Spotlight Series for an in-depth look at the candidates, their stances on citywide issues, plans for the future and what they have accomplished in the past.

There are 11 hopefuls currently vying to become your next mayor—some with extensive experience working in government, others as newcomers to the political scene. Be sure to follow Metro for a comprehensive look at all the candidates.
