New Suburban Station coffee shop will sell single-serve pods only

Fans of K-cups of all ilks will have a reason to descend into Suburban Station next Monday when Caffe Del Muro opens in the corridor leading to the 15th Street exit. The new coffee shop will sell 130 varieties of single-serve coffee pods, which customers can brew on one of 10 one-cup coffee makers. A cup of coffee will run $1.75. The café, which will also feature Swiss Haus Bakery pastries, celebrates its grand opening on Oct. 2.

Co-owner Domenic Cardarelli says he commuted into the city through Suburban Station for seven years. “The biggest thing that frustrated me was I love getting my coffee in the morning but sometimes the line at Dunkin’ Donuts doesn’t work for me, because I have to get to work,” he says. “So why not have something where you can service hundreds of people in minutes?”
