The Colorado Avalanche are still celebrating their emphatic Stanley Cup victory, but vegas has already turned its gaze to the 2022-23 campaign. As far as NHL Futures go, the markets opened today for the 2022-23 campaign and the Philadelphia Flyers are predictably longshots.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Philadelphia Flyers are +6000 to win the Stanley Cup in 2022-23.
The Avs are understandable favorites at +400, with the Maple Leafs sitting behind at +800, and the Lightning just behind them at +900.
For the Flyers, reaching the Stanley Cup Finals seems way out of reasonable expectation. John Tortorella will be in his first season with the team and there is a lot of rebuilding to be done. The Flyers won a measly 25 games in 2021 and finished at the bottom of the Metro division. It’s likely to be a long and bumpy road back to the top and one they will have to go down without former franchise kingpin, Claude Giroux.
However, if you are looking to bet on the NHL, DraftKings are giving new users a risk-free $1,000 bet AND $50 just for signing up.
