Nightscape at Longwood Gardens and five more art adventures

Check out these art, dance and multi-media events happening in Philly this summer.

1.Art Splash

The PMA brings back its annual summer family-oriented program, which combines an exhibition that encourages kids to interact with art, performances and a custom-designed studio for hands-on art-making.

2.Nightscape: A Light & Sound Experience

Multimedia visual art group Klip Collective creates an immersive light, sound and imagery installation, turning Longwood Gardens’ landscape into a kaleidoscopic environment.

3. Traction Company

PAFA presents an exhibition of the young collective composed entirely of PAFA grads, based in a former trolley manufacturing warehouse in West Philly.

4. BalletX

The contemporary ballet company’s annual summer series features an evening of work by choreographer Adam Hougland, including the world premiere of a new collaboration with Philadelphia singer-songwriter Chris Kasper.

5.Biblical Art from the Permanent Collection

Woodmere welcomes Pope Francis to the city with a collection of Bible-inspired work, largely from 20th-century artists.

6. Come Together Dance Festival
