Prosecutors on Wednesday released an update one week after the death of a New Jersey toddler stating that they had not yet determined how or why the boy wound up dead in the woods.
Brandon Link Creato, 3, wasfound dead in a wooded area in Haddon Township on Oct. 13.
“Detectives have found no indicia of forced entry at the child’s residence. Additionally, there is no indication the boy was sexually assaulted,” the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement. “The results of the autopsy remain pending at this time.” No arrests have been reported and no criminal charges have been filed.

Creato, told the Inquirer that Creato was interviewed by police and is not considered a suspect in his son’s death. D.J. Creato called 911 around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13 to report his son missing.
“The door was locked,” Creato says in a recording of the call. “I guess heunlocked it and left.”
The toddler was found dead three hours later in Cooper River Park, a wooded area of Haddown Township, N.J.. He was located that morning by a K-9 unit from the Delaware River Port Authority, prosecutors said.
