Investigators released surveillance images Wednesday in an attempt to identify the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash last week in North Philadelphia.
Tamarah Savage was struck and killed at around 3:30 a.m. Thursday, July 6, just two days before her 36th birthday, on the 2700 block of N. Broad Street, around the corner from her home, according to authorities.
She was crossing the street in the middle of the block when a white sedan traveling in the northbound lanes hit her, police said. Detectives recovered debris from the car at the scene.
Authorities describe the vehicle as a 2006-2013 Chevrolet Impala with tinted windows. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the PPD’s Crash Investigation Division at 215-685-3180 or call 215-686-8477.
