Homicide investigators released surveillance video and images Wednesday in an attempt to identify two gunmen who killed a 16-year-old boy last month in North Philadelphia.

The teenager, Semaj Richardson, was found with a gunshot wound to his torso at around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, in a vacant lot on the 1400 block of W. Erie Avenue in the Tioga neighborhood, according to authorities.

In the surveillance clip, three young men can be seen entering a store and, after leaving the shop, two members of the group open fire. Police have not commented on a possible motive in the killing.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to contact the PPD’s Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334/3335; call or text 215-686-8477; or submit a tip at www.phillypolice.com/forms/submit-a-tip.

The city offers a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in a homicide case.
