Police are investigating the murder of a Northeast Philadelphia man who was found shot to death on the edge of West Fairmount Park yesterday afternoon.
William Springfield, 40, of the 2600 block of Welsh Road, was discovered on the 3800 block of Cambridge Street shortly after noon.
Springfield was sitting in the driver’s side of a black Dodge Ram truck with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police have not yet established a motive.
