Ocean Casino Resort is known as a premier seaside destination. But throughout the 20 acres of the beachfront venue, there’s a little bit of something for everyone—and not just in the summertime.
The brand underwent some significant changes in 2021 and 2022 (about $100 million of significance to be exact), and although the look of the resort / casino is upscale, your budget doesn’t have to be to enjoy it this fall and winter.
From now until Feb. 5, 2025, locals looking to escape the city can indulge in their Resort Stay + Play Package. The deal includes an overnight stay in a Contemporary Room or Suite, a $50 food and beverage credit to use at The Gallery Bar, Book & Games or Balcony Bar, and Ocean swag to take home with you as well.
And why even stay there in the first place? It could be for the food, drinks, the experience, relaxation, or, for more unique fixtures like the fact that they house the first Fanatics Sportsbook retail location in New Jersey.
Food wise, there are a few different experiences. On the upscale side of the coin, Ocean houses Amada, Ocean Steak and Linguini by the Sea. Philadelpians may recognize the name Amada already, as local Chef Jose Garces helms the venue, which focuses on Spanish tapas. Highlights span a whole-roasted suckling pig, Seafood paella and a chef’s tasting menu. Linguini by the Sea on the other hand gives guests the chance to enjoy handcrafted pastas, prime entrees and upscale cocktails with a clear view of the ocean.
Then with Ocean Steak, the Resort’s steak and seafood locale, diners will be able to choose from a large amount of choices from a Wagyu cheesesteak to a 30-day snow aged Japanese Wagyu cut, to a selection of seafood-focused bites (think scallops, spicy tuna on crispy rice and fried calamari), and everything in between. This particular locale also houses Ocean’s largest wine and scotch selection as well as an enticing list of dessert options (pro tip, the homemade Raspberry Pop-Tart with ice cream is a crowd pleaser.)
But for those looking to eat and drink more casually, there’s also a laundry list of different locales located just an elevator ride away from your room as well. Villain & Saint takes more of a bar atmosphere and mixes it with tasty drinks, Harper’s is a go-to for anyone who’s a fan of brunch, and there’s also quicker options that pack in flavor in the form of the popular Zhen Bang Noodles, Wahlburger’s, and of course, a Starbucks.
Another fixture on Ocean’s property is Ovation Hall, aka a 4,500-seat space that houses a variety of shows year-round ranging from comedy, various musical genres, and mixed martial arts events. Some upcoming highlights include Jeff Dunham (Sept. 13), Brad Paisley (Oct. 12), Lenny Kravitz (Nov. 1 and 2), KC & The Sunshine Band (Nov. 23), Cirque Dreams ‘Holidaze’ (Dec. 1) and plenty more. A full list and tickets for upcoming events is available online.
Those interested in nightlife are also in luck with HQ2 Beachclub and Nightclub. The dayclub is a warm weather favorite due to its North Beach location adjacent to the Atlantic City Boardwalk. It also features six bungalows with private pools, 12 daybeds, and more than 30 VIP sections on the lower and upper decks. The nightclub is two levels, has plenty of VIP space and table availability as well, and is also known to attract some of the top DJs and performers from around the world.
And what would all of this fun be without some relaxation?
Ocean is known for a lot, but its spa is definitely a crown jewel in terms of what it looks like and what it offers. Exhale Spa + Bathhouse provides therapeutic, results-oriented body and skincare services designed to promote “ultimate inner and outer wellbeing.” Guests can choose from an enticing variety of massages, facials, lash and brow services, plus, gain access to heated pools, a Himalayan salt room, saunas and more. All you have to do is book a treatment for access, so, no room is required.
Other activities while visiting the resort span 13 different store experiences in a space dubbed “Shops at the Row”, a 12,000 sq. ft. sports entertainment venue, the world’s largest Topgolf Swing Suite, an indoor/outdoor guest pool, plus a bevy of slot machines, game tables and experiences located in the Casino. And to complete it all, Ocean also houses “The Park”, an outdoor space where guests can catch views of the Atlantic Ocean, dine at picnic tables or relax by firepits.
The options can be catered to exactly what you crave, booking a room or planning a day trip is just the first step.
