Two officers were injured in a hit-and-run accident in the Juniata Park neighborhood of Philadelphia around 3:30 a.m. Thursday, ABC Philly reported.
The incident happened near the intersection of G Street and East Erie Avenue when the plainclothes officers’ unmarked car was hit.

CBS Philly reported that “a vehicle struck the police car from behind” and that the “police car then hit a parked car and then crashed into a wall.”
The officers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators do not know if the driver knew there were officers in the vehicle, and they described the runaway car as “a dark colored, smaller car with front-end damage,” ABC Philly reported.
