Two Philadelphia police officers and a pedestrian were injured in a high speed crash Sunday morning in Fairhill, authorities said.

Just before 9:15 a.m., the driver of an SUV struck a police cruiser at 5th Street and Allegheny Avenue, according to the PPD. The SUV then knocked down a light pole, which fell onto a person standing in the area, police added.

Authorities said the pedestrian was taken to Temple University Hospital and listed in stable condition. Two officers, who were responding to a 911 call at the time of the crash, were briefly hospitalized and released, the PPD said. The SUV driver declined medical attention, according to investigators.

Detectives from the department’s Crash Investigation Division are investigating the collision, and there was no further information released Sunday, including whether the driver will face charges.
