OK Fest unites good bands for a good cause

Philly will resound with music this weekend. Whether you like rock, punk, garage, grunge, folk, roots, R&B, metal, blues, pop or hip-hop, there will be a show for you between the OK, XpoNential and This Is Hardcore music festivals all in town within the next 96 hours. In this week’s City Paper, get the lowdown on the lineups for all three events (cancel those Shore plans, all you My Morning Jacket, The Misfits, Girlpool, St. Vincent and Courtney Barnett fans) as well as an in-depth look at OK, a festival that is trying to reclaim punk’s original aim as a force for change by featuring POC, queer and female musicians and raising money for LGBTQ youth space The Attic. Sound check it all out right now atcitypaper.net.
