Dust off your dirndl and prep your prost — Oktoberfest in Philadelphia is back and bigger than ever for 2025.
South Street
The largest celebration of Oktoberfest in Philadelphia is set for Saturday, Sept. 27. Now in its 17th year, the annual event presented by Brauhaus Schmitz will be in full swing from noon to 8 p.m. on the 700 block. Festivities will include nearly a dozen German beers available on draught, a variety of German favorites for food, live Oom-pah music, face painting, German dancers, a Liter Lift competition, games, schnapps and more.
Music will be provided by Die Heimatklänge with dancing by the United German Hungarians. Philadelphians can also look into buying VIP Packages ($125): VIP includes private access to the Brauer Bund, specialty drafts, a liter mug, a Bavarian buffet, seven tokens for beer, five private no-wait bathrooms and additional swag.

Frankford Hall
This German favorite in Fishtown will host an Oktoberfest celebration that’s free of charge and fido friendly. The occasion, set for Sept. 20 (noon to 8 p.m.), will feature activities for all ages, live music by the Polka Brothers, and plenty of great German Beer, pretzels, sausages, dancing in the streets and more.

Yards Brewery
Yards is celebrating Bavarian style with an energetic party on Sept. 27. From noon to 4 p.m., the day will feature an authentic stein holding competition, games, a prize for the best dressed, German eats (like house made bratwurst, knockwurst, veggie wurst, pretzels and more), plus, event-only exclusive sips like Yards Festbier, Hefeweizen and Schnitzengiggles. Early bird tickets run for $20 (there are only 100 of them), otherwise, general admission runs for $30 and designated driver tickets for $10. Every GA ticket comes with an exclusive Yards Oktoberfest 0.5-liter stein, and your choice of one of four exclusive German-inspired beers.
Those who can’t make it out for the event can visit the locale to try their Unter Dog (pouring all month long), plus a special Oktoberfest menu featuring jägerschnitzel, pork shank, käsespätzle, bratwurst or knockwurst with kraut, German spaghetti ice cream, and more.

13th Annual Roxtoberfest
Set for Saturday, Oct. 4 (noon to 5 p.m.), this annual street festival will take place on Ridge Avenue between Lyceum and Leverington avenues, with sidewalk activations extending from Leverington Avenue to Hermitage Street, connecting Roxtoberfest to the family fun at Gorgas Park. The event will feature circus performers, competitions, food trucks, a mini classic car show, and a curated market from Fleisher Art Memorial dubbed “El l Mercardo” featuring LatinX artisans.
Roxtoberfest will also feature a new beverage tent and the return of the Scarecrow Walk and Scarecrow Build with Gorgas Park.

23rd Street Armory
Another fan favorite, the 23rd Street Armory’s annual celebration will be in full swing on Friday, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 11.
The event mirrors an authentic Munich festival tent and features traditional Oktoberfest food provided by Brauhaus Schmitz. Beer on the other hand will be offered by the Hofbräuhaus München – Das Original, and there will be a lofted stage area for musical acts, which includes Brauhaus regulars Die Heimatklänge on Friday night/Saturday daytime, and The Bratwurst Boys for Saturday night.
Tickets for both general admission and VIP are available for Friday night, Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. Prices range from $30 to $95.

Evil Genius Beer Company
Evil Genius is celebrating Oktoberfest in Philadelphia with a special party set for Oct. 4. The occasion will don a performance from Philadelphia’s premier Oompah band, Polkadelphia, German inspired eats, games, decor, and more. Additionally, Evil Genius will host the qualifying round for the official United States Stein Holding Association for both men and women. Winners will be invited to the state championship on Oct. 11 for a chance to compete at Nationals in November.

Goatoberfest
This isn’t your typical Oktoberfest in Philadelphia celebration. On Saturday, Oct. 18, Philly Goat Project will throw its fourth annual GOAToberFest. The event will feature goat art raffles and historic cemetery tours, signature cocktails, a goat photobooth, yard games, s’mores by the fire pit, snacks, plus, plenty of time to spend with the Goat Project’s 13 beloved goats.
As a release notes, attendees will also be the first to see and purchase the signature 2026 Goat Calendar, which celebrates the 250th anniversary of the country. The calendar features the goats at the Museum of the American Revolution, with the Hamilton cast, on the Sixers’ refurbished community basketball court with their mascot, Franklin, and many more landmark spots. Costumes (either Oktoberfest or Halloween) are welcome, and tickets ($75) are available online.

Renaultberfest 2025
This two-day event is chock full of live music, signature food and drinks, seasonal activities, and family fun. Set for Saturday, Oct. 11 (noon to 4 p.m.) and Sunday, Oct. 12 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), across the scenic winery grounds, weekend activities span grape stomping, barrel rides, mini pumpkin painting, face painting, lawn games and other fun. Bites for the occasion span bratwurst, cider donuts, a chicken schnitzel sandwich, a jumbo pretzel with Double Nickel cheese sauce, themed cocktails and more. Anyone interested can check out the venue’s schedule online for specific activities (like an artisan market, a Paint and Sip, and a 5k run) as well.
Admission is no charge, but food, drink and select activities are pay-as-you go.

8th Annual Oktoberfest on the Square
Westmont is a short drive (or PATCO ride) away from the city, and one reason to head there this month is the annual Oktoberfest on the Square presented by Brauhaus Schmitz and Keg & Kitchen. The pay-as-you-go event will feature a pig roast menu accompanied by other German favorites, and live music from the Egress Band to set the atmosphere at this family-friendly event.
