Those headed down the aisle have some fun in store—details for the 4th Annual Old City Wedding Stroll (April 30 from 5 to 8 p.m.) have been released, and there’s plenty of cake to try, styles to see and jewels to behold for the occasion.
“The Old City Wedding Stroll has become a signature event, showcasing the incredible variety of wedding-related businesses within Old City that continues to grow year over year,” said Job Itzkowitz, Executive Director of Old City District in a statement.
“From attire and jewelry to venues, catering, and beauty services, Old City offers everything needed to create a memorable and unique wedding experience. We’re excited to welcome couples, once again, to explore our charming streets and discover the perfect partners for their special day.”
Some of the stops and shops you find in Philly’s own “wedding corridor” span wedding attire, florists, jewelers, restaurants, venues, wedding services, and more. This year, 40 businesses will be participating within just a few blocks of each other offering up specials, services and more.
As a release notes, attendees can enjoy meet-and-greets with wedding experts, explore venues, sample tastings, and discover the latest trends in bridal fashion and design. 2025’s stroll will also introduce a special, interactive addition dubbed the “Bloom Bar,” where participants can create their own custom floral bouquets as they visit participating local businesses along the event route (while supplies last). The event is free to attend, however, registration is required and can be completed online.
There’s another incentive to join the Stroll — participants will automatically be entered to win a gift basket on behalf of Old City District (valued at nearly $4,000.) The basket will feature free hair and makeup services by JM&CO., gift cards to Wax + Wine, NE Flower Boutique, Mari Mi, and a number of the area’s restaurants, a free tungsten wedding band gift card provided by Hitched, complimentary wedding/event content creation (valued at $750) provided by Taylor Moy, tickets to a FringeArts production and the Independence Seaport Museum and more.
