One dead in triple stabbing

Police say one person is dead and another in critical condition after a triple stabbing in Philadelphia’s Bridesburg section.

Officers responding to the 2800 block of Reynolds Street at 6:30 a.m. found one woman in her 50’s dead with multiple stab wounds to the face. A 74-year-old woman was transported to Aria-Frankford in serious but stable condition.

A teenager in the home had cuts to the hand. He told officers that the incident was a home invasion. Police are investigating those claims.

The weapon was recovered from the scene.
