One teen died and another was seriously injured when a car hopped a curb and struck them in Delaware County on Sunday night.
The teen died from injuries sustained when he was struck by one of two cars involved in a crash along the 500 block of West Baltimore Pike in Clifton Heights about 9 p.m., NBC10 reports. The report identified the teen as 18-year-old Dante Desimone, an Upper Darby High School graduate.
Desimone, who was a freshman at Neumann University, was pronounced dead at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. His friend was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was in serious condition Monday morning.
A second friend of Desimone’s was not injured.
The drivers of both vehicles involved in the crash remained on the scene for the investigation. Police do not suspect either was driving under the influence, according to the report.
