Democratic gubernatorial nominee Dan Onorato toured a green-jobs training facility in Kensington last Thursday to highlight the point that his race against Tom Corbett is about one focal issue: job creation.
Creating a “Pennsylvania Green Jobs Corps” weatherization work force could make Pennsylvania a national leader in attracting green businesses while helping residents lower their energy bills, he said.
“The need for energy efficiency and conservation is not going away,” Onorato said. “People realize it makes good business sense. These are the jobs of the future. I’ll use what I’ve seen here throughout the campaign to talk about the need for training and public/private partnerships.”
