Jersey Shore business enjoyed packed beaches during the heat wave in the first 12 days of July.

Two sharks were seen cruising about 100 yards from swimmers in Seaside Park, Ocean County, both Monday and Wednesday, with a group of sharks following up at the nearby Barnegat Peninsula yesterday. Swimmers were waved ashore for about an hour, but expect Route 42 to be bottlenecked as usual this weekend.
For there record, there have only been 17 shark attacks off the Jersey Shore, including those 95 years ago. If it’s maneaters you’re after, Discovery’s Shark Week starts Aug. 1.
