An overturned city trash truck has led to detoured traffic as authorities closed a major thoroughfare to investigate the crash.
Around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, a Philadelphia Streets Department trash truck reportedly struck a utility pole and overturned onto its side, forcing the closure of East Hunting Park Avenue in Juniata Park, 6ABC reported.

Authorities told CBS3 that East Hunting Park was closed between K and Dungan streets.

The 58-year-old driver of the trash truck and a 55-year-old passenger, both men, were taken to area hospitals in stable condition, police stated. Another male passenger, 39, was taken to Temple Hospital in serious condition with possible fractured ribs.
