Animal lovers and craft beer enthusiasts alike, prepare for the return of one of the city’s favorite collaborations. Partners since 2019, Dock Street Brewery and the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) are teaming up once again to bring beer lovers and animal advocates together to make a difference.

For the third year in a row, Dock Street’s Found Friends IPA is at the center of the partnership, but this year, Dock Street and PAWS will host a raffle, giving several lucky adopted pets the chance to become the face of the special brew.

Pet owners are invited to enter their adopted furry family members in the raffle by making a donation to PAWS, with increasing chances to win based on donation amount — $10 for one entry, $25 for three entries, $50 for seven entries, $100 for 15 entries, and $200 for 35 entries.

The raffle will close on Thursday, May 8, at noon, and the winners will be randomly selected and contacted to submit their pet’s photo for the label, which will be designed by Joseph Hasenauer, a Philadelphia-based art director, designer, photographer, and animal lover.

If you win, make sure you choose the best picture to represent your pet — a high-resolution image (PNG or JPEG), shows the pet’s full face and body, and is a clear image, not an action shot.

All proceeds from the raffle will directly go to PAWS to assist in their efforts to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Philadelphia’s animals in need, providing them with medical care, nourishment, foster placement, and adoption.

As for the beverage in question, Dock Street’s ‘Found Friends,’ brewed with a variety of New Zealand and American hops, is hazy with bold and juicy notes. Dock Street will donate $1 to PAWS for every four-pack sold to help ensure as many savable pets as possible are guaranteed a home, and that every pet owner has the support they need to keep their family whole.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Dock Street Brewery once again — and equally excited to offer adopters the chance to see their beloved pets featured on this year’s Found Friends IPA label,” says Melissa Levy, executive director of PAWS. “This collaboration celebrates the love we share with our pets and makes a real difference for Philadelphia’s homeless animals and pet owners who need our support.”
