The popular ride share service Uber will be looking at a 50 million dollar fine from Pennsylvania for operating in Pittsburgh before receiving a license.
On Tuesday, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement issued the fine to Uber after discovering the company was operating without a license during the summer of 2014.

In an AP report, Uber spokesman Taylor Bennett said the San Francisco company was disappointed and hoped to come to a “reasonable resolution” after failing to reach a settlement with the commission.
If the Public Utility Commission approves the fine, it will be the largest the agency has ever issued.
