Fresh off the release of their latest album, ‘Lefty,’ Kyle Jahnke and Andy Baxter, collectively known as the singer-songwriter duo Penny and Sparrow, are set to headline at Union Transfer next month.

Known for their mellifluous harmonies, reminiscent of Simon and Garfunkel with a twist of Bon Iver, Iron and Wine, Noah Gunderson, and even Broadway composer Stephen Sondheim, Penny and Sparrow lyrically blend philosophy, poetry, myth and history while musically remaining in a constant state of experimentation.

The duo’s previous album, ‘Olly Olly,’ has been described as a search for and an embrace of the self. With this latest release, Jahnke and Baxter embrace the journey of their inner child, exploring many pathways throughout the album, sometimes drifting across themes, styles, and sounds, yet never losing themselves during the voyage.
