People’s Light to host two drive-in concerts

Throughout the summer season, People’s Light has been offering drive-in concerts for people to safely enjoy live music once again, and this weekend there are two more opportunities to do so.

This Friday, Sept. 10, Los Angeles-based roots music revolutionary Sunny War and legendary Hackensaw Boys frontman David Sickmen will play the People’s Light Drive-In Concert Series at 6:30 p.m.

Then, the next day, accomplished musicians and longtime friends Reggie Harris and Alastair Moock will play an all-ages show in The Glen, the intimate new outdoor stage at People’s Light, on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m.

Drive-in concert tickets for Friday come out to be $75 per vehicle of up to 5 people and include a “Home Space” next to your car so you can enjoy the music outside, while Saturday’s socially-distanced Family Circles on the lawn are $35 per group of up to 4 adults/children and 1 infant.

While there, audience members can also order food and drinks from The Farmhouse at People’s Light right next door. The menu at the restaurant spans from handheld sandwiches (like their short rib grilled cheese and salmon burger) to salads, to apps (think oven-roasted wings, roasted Brussel sprouts and more) to their entrees which vary in dishes to include pasta primavera to red wine braised short rib and beyond.
